Medieval Castle has been updated to v2.0.
This is a big one: v2.0 is a major rework of the pack's lighting and landscape, now built and captured on Unreal Engine 5.8. The result is a noticeably stronger look across the board - better light, better ground, same castle.
Important for existing customers: v2.0 is not backwards-compatible with v1.x projects - asset paths and landscape layers have changed. If you're already using Medieval Castle in an active project, read the changelog before updating, since dropping v2.0 straight into a v1.x project can break references. If you're not ready to move yet, v1 remains available in the listing, so there's no pressure to update on our timeline instead of yours.
For anyone newer to the pack: Medieval Castle is a modular medieval environment with 300+ unique meshes - houses, towers, walls, doors, windows, balconies, and props - several with both interior and exterior pieces built from modular parts. It ships with a full example level, torch and fire-bowl blueprints with particle effects, and an advanced landscape setup with 9 paintable layers plus additional foliage and rock meshes.
The pack is available for both Unreal Engine 5 and Unity 6 (URP) - this update applies only to the Unreal Engine version.
Grab the update on Fab or reach out on Discord if you run into anything after updating.
